Maasdijk, The Netherlands, May 25th 2023. BOAL Group, leader in the horticulture industry, announced today the release of its 2022 Sustainability Report, outlining the company's progress in lowering CO2 emissions both in Scope 1 +2 and Scope 3, transitioning towards a circular economy, improving workplace safety & employee wellbeing and reducing its environmental impact.
As part of the commitment to sustainability, BOAL Group has been working diligently towards reducing its carbon footprint, by implementing various energy-saving measures and adopting renewable energy sources. The efforts have resulted in a 9% % reduction in Scope 1, 2 and 3 CO2 emissions per tonne aluminum, in 2022, compared to the previous year.

The core of BOAL’s ESG strategy consists of 7 material topics which set out the company’s key priorities in this field including industry leading targets.

This involves its approach to both work processes and products, which are designed to create a positive impact on its markets, customers, employees and society.
