‘s-Gravenzande, The Netherlands, September 23rd 2022. Since the beginning of this year, the BOAL Group has joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative. With this, BOAL actively supports the United Nations 10 basic principles in the field of responsible and sustainable business (https://www.unglobalcompact.org/what-is-gc/mission/principles).
Seven
years ago, in September 2015, all 193 member states of the United Nations
approved a plan to achieve a better future for all, protect our planet and
fight injustice. The goal is to end extreme poverty and high inequality by
2030.
These
goals are formulated in 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs are
essential for a society that leads to greener, more inclusive economies and
stronger, more resilient societies.
This
Friday is UN Global Compact SDG flag day (https://gcnetherlands.nl/en/sdg-flag-day-2021/), with this campaign
the network wants to raise awareness and show support for these goals. As BOAL,
we therefore raised the SDG flag at Systems in 's
Gravenzande.
